We sometimes watch videos of animals being drunk. It’s incredibly hilarious when animals act in a funny way. It’s totally different when it comes to reindeers, though.
It’s scientifically known that reindeers love to seek magic mushrooms and other psychoactive drugs.
They consume them on regular basis, and actually enjoy the side effects of the drug.
Some studies actually suggest that the regular use of Amanita muscaria by the reindeers eventually got humans to try them out.
Reindeers act as if drunk when affected by the drug, and they run around without purpose while twitching their heads.
Some herders in Asia and Europe in the past feared consuming the mushrooms on their own.
And, seeing how it affected the reindeers, they collected their urine, as a safer way of consumption.
But don’t be that surprised.
It’s known for animals to experiment with drugs.
They usually come across them while grazing, and, noticing the side effects, they come back for a fix.
On the South-West side of America, horses and other animals consume plants that are called locoweed, which are considered psychoactive as well.
Bet you didn’t know that much about reindeers, did you?
